In 2012, after decades of working tirelessly for huge corporations at a brand-name brokerage, Steve Peres had had enough of the transaction-focused grind and wanted to be part of something more meaningful. He wanted to provide small- and medium-sized businesses and commercial investors with a better, more personable way to deal in commercial real estate. From that simple concept, MCRE was formed.
The idea for MCRE wasn’t to compete with the brand-name brokerages or be another “me too” boutique brokerage, it was to approach commercial real estate from an entirely new perspective. Instead of the volume-driven, rushed environment favoured by brand-name brokerages, MCRE focuses on building lifelong, lasting relationships with clients by providing = exceptional results and honest, transparent advice.
For many small- and medium-sized businesses and commercial investors, working with MCRE is less like hiring a brokerage and more like having their own in-house real estate team. That’s how well we know your business and that’s how hard we’ll work for your results.
After the initial success of the brand-name-brokerage-expertise meets boutique-brokerage-service concept, Steve Peres welcomed his first new team member, Steve DeVoe in 2015. Not only do they share the same name, but DeVoe had also built up an impressive resume in his decades of working for brand-name brokerages and shared Peres’ mindset that there had to be a better way.
